Update: January 4, 2023

Happy New Year everyone! A quick update from our Board of Directors:

Our dear friend Pesi, from the Emergency Food Pantry Network, has blessed Caregiving Network doubly in the last few weeks. 100 pounds of venison was donated to CGN for our food pantry, and then a donation of 12 lovely and warm bed comforters for our Apartment in a Box ministry. Both donations were gratefully accepted and joyfully given out to the community. THANK YOU, Pesi!

A THANK YOU to Midland’s Open Door for the amazing donation of over a hundred quilts for our Apartment in a Box ministry! What an absolute blessing those beautiful quilts are going to be to the people who are finally getting a place of their own after being homeless or displaced for such a long time. The quilts are bright and colorful, warm and cozy, and will bring comfort to those who are in need. Bless you, Renee and all the great employees and volunteers who make Open Door a haven in this city!

Case Systems/BOSTONtec, in recognition of the fantastic employees who made their year a great success in 2022, blessed Caregiving Network with a very large monetary donation. They are a very community-minded company, and their employees volunteer their time and talents in so many ways. We are very grateful for Kelly, their president, and all those who work for Case Systems/BOSTONtec, for their part in keeping our clients fed and warmed during this winter season. THANK YOU!

And to all our donors, THANK YOU for your generosity, compassion, prayer, and faithfulness in 2022. May God bless you and your families in this New Year with peace, comfort, prosperity, and health as you serve our Savior and Lord!

Wildfire Credit Union

“Karen and Kelsey from Midland’s Wildfire Credit Union helped to bring an amazing harvest of red holiday bags to our food pantry because one vehicle could not hold all that had been donated! Each bag contained 10 items of staple foods and will be so appreciated by our pantry clients. We are more than grateful for Hidden Harvest, Wildfire Credit Union, and all their employees who worked so hard to make this harvest possible. Many thanks to all the Midland community members who have purchased a harvest bag or bags (we were told there were some very generous people out there!), we appreciate your compassion and generosity for our less fortunate brothers and sisters. May you all be blessed and made joyful for the joy you have brought to others. “

Update: May 5, 2021

Dear Volunteers and Friends of Caregiving Network !

Our matching donation initiative was a complete success !   From your generosity – as of April 30, 2021 - we raised $25,027.07 exceeding our request for help to match the $25,000 from an anonymous donor!  God loves and blesses a cheerful giver.  Thank you all !

We have exciting plans for the donations – funds will go towards:

  • Home Life Essentials (HLE) – Apartment in a Box – this is the concept of supplying household items (excludes furniture) that a family/single needs to set up a new life after leaving a shelter or difficult life situation, as well as offer food from our Pantry so their living situation is as comfortable as it can be.

  • HealthAssist Ministry – dental assistance for uninsured single women/mothers who find it difficult to pay for cleanings/xrays or emergency dental needs

  • Client Services – assistance with electric, propane, wood; transportation – gas cards, County Connection & Dial-a-Ride bus passes and other emergent situations that may arise with people in need.

  • Food Pantry

  • After School Youth Program is coming closer to fruition this year as the Chapel remodeling is almost done. Steve Lampi, Board President, will have more to say on this topic in the near future.

None of what we do at Caregiving Network would be possible without our Volunteers who have given and continue to give so selflessly to this ministry.

 Blessings,

Caregiving Network Board of Directors
