2023 End of Year Letter & Recap

 Dear Friends,

Philippians 4:19 reminds us of God’s goodness to us.  “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”  Here at Caregiving Network, we have lived that truth through the difficult year just ending.  He has richly supplied our needs as we have cared for the poor and desperate in our community.  Without you, His faithful family, we could not do what He has commissioned us to do.  You are His answers to our prayers.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, your compassion, and your willingness to sacrifice for others.  It is a privilege to serve our Lord with you.

5,554 people were helped through our various ministries this year.  Our food pantry fed 3,919 people in 2023, an increase of 1,200 over the year 2022.  We also supplied 986 families with gas cards or bus tickets, along with 166 laundry vouchers or Bridge Grocery Store cards.  Our nonprimary fund helped 130 families with such things as a dehumidifier for an older couple, an air conditioner for a very ill 3-year-old, car insurance so a woman could drive legally to work, a dresser for an emancipated youth, and shoes for a senior citizen.  We helped 236 families with utilities such as propane fills and water bills, and our Apartment in a Box ministry helped 99 families with their move into stable housing.  Although numbers are informative and interesting, they certainly don’t tell the whole story.  Behind each number is a person in need and we are here, not just to meet the need of the moment, but to point them in the direction of Jesus, our Savior, who can meet and fulfill their heart’s cry into eternity.  Thank you for your prayers and encouragement as we continue to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of our community.  And always, all glory to God!

Blessings,

 Terri Caldecourt, Operations Manager
